Climate adaption: Friends of the Earth and Two Britons to challenge UK’s ‘weak’ response to climate crisis in Strasbourg court

Doug Paulley and Kevin Jordan say their lives being ruined, and lack of effective strategy infringes their human rights
Doug and Kevin, along with Friends of the Earth, the third claimant in the case, argue that it fails to consider the impact of climate change on marginalised groups, set out lawful “adaptation objectives” or adequately assess risks to the delivery of its plans.
They launched a judicial review of Nap3, but last year the high court rejected their arguments and, in March, the court of appeal refused their application to challenge the ruling. Now they are turning to the ECHR.
In their submission to the ECHR, they will argue that the UK is out of compliance with human rights requirements in how it currently plans for and implements climate adaptation under the Climate Change Act.
Save Hemsby Coastline - Written Evidence for Flood Resilience in England

Save Hemsby Coastline has made an official submission to the Call for Evidence for the Flood Resilience in the UK committee. We needed to highlight our concerns about coastal defences and the need for more robust provision for people affected by coastal erosion as all the focus seems to be on flooding only.
The aim is to raise public awareness of the coastal erosion plight facing Hemsby and to raise funds to help protect our dunes, coastline and livelihoods!
The village of Hemsby in Norfolk is a victim of coastal erosion after high tides swept away more homes. More than eight feet of the beach has disappeared from Hemsby near Great Yarmouth in recent months and the fear that more could go - is happening.

Help build our funds to fight on!
Hemsby contributes £88M to Norfolk’s economy each year from its tourism-based infrastructure.
But we are at a tipping point. Lack of action now will mean the beach continues to vanish, in turn leading to economic and social damage to the village and a knock-on effect to Norfolk
Every pound that you can give will make a big difference
